The Choice is a scene exploration of the teacher-student relationship in dance education.

What is the difference between a teacher giving hope and inspiration and one who discourages his students?

Multiple times we have seen the medium of dance, especially ballet, marginalize the 'untalented' bunch, the physically undesirable traits some people are born with that are considered non-pretty, unsatisfactory and inadequate for the long-established standards of dance.

Should teachers then just discard the unwanted pupils, crushing their dreams of becoming professional dancers, or should they find a way to instill the rigour, the diligence, the perseverance that a professional dancer is required to possess, inciting motivation instead of discouragement?
